Biography

Sarah Green Carmichael is a Senior Editor at Harvard Business Review. She focuses on developing new ideas and authors for HBR.org, which won a Webby for Best Business Website in 2016. She also directs HBR's online video program and hosts the HBR IdeaCast, a weekly audio podcast featuring new management thinking and practical leadership advice. It has been nominated for two National Magazine Awards under her tenure. She has appeared as a guest on several radio and television programs and as a speaker or moderator at events like Thinkers50, SXSW, and the Stockholm Talent Summit. Prior to joining HBR, Sarah wrote a sports column for the Boston Metro daily newspaper and worked as a researcher for Pulitzer Prize-winning op-ed columnist Ellen Goodman of the Washington Post Writers Group syndicate. She graduated with honors from Brown University.
