Biography

Lisa W. Hershman is an internationally published author and recognized thought leader in business transformation focusing on the customer experience. She brings a wealth of real-world knowledge and an innovative style to her work as the Founder and CEO of The DeNovo Group™, whose clients range from household names in the Fortune 500 to the U.S. Department of Defense.
 
As the co-author of the internationally acclaimed business book "Faster Cheaper Better,” Hershman has been featured in BusinessWeek, Forbes and Fox Business News, as well as a number of nationally syndicated business radio programs and Investors Business Daily.

She is the former CEO of Hammer and Company, where her practical experience and engaging style led to her selection as the successor to Dr. Michael Hammer, the MIT icon internationally known as a best-selling author and founder of the field of business process reengineering.

Hershman also served as Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence at Avnet, the world’s largest B2B distributor of electronic components and computer equipment.  As the executive in charge of customer experience, her work was honored with the Corporate Chairman’s Award. Earlier in her career, Hershman honed her skills with General Electric, where she managed a portion of the Seawolf submarine program.

Hershman’s civic engagement, includes serving as the 2017 Chairwoman of the Scrum Alliance, the world’s largest training and certification organization in the Agile community.  She is a commissioner of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, and a member of Ball State University’s Miller School of Business Entrepreneurial Education Advisory Council. Hershman earned her engineering and industrial distribution degree from Clarkson and has studied innovation with MIT and IMD.
